Alison joined RationalWiki on January 14, 2009 and has been editing at Wikipedia since 2004, where she is an Administrator. In her capacity as an Administrator with checkuser powers, she blocked the IP of User:The way, the truth, and the light, who later went on to become the (*ahem*) controversial RW vandal/sockpuppeteer Fall down.
Fall down seems to consider her a nemesis of sorts, and has claimed that she was the ringleader/proxy of a "conspiracy of female admins" committed to censoring him and his opinions on Wikipedia.
During one of his socking sprees, Fall down created socks whose names combined Alison's real name with crude sexual images and insults. These were promptly renamed, but references to them remained on talk pages. On February 7, 2009, Alison attempted to remove references to her real name from one of Human's talk page archives. This led to a series of edit wars and cross words between users who believed that Alison had a right to remove her name because of the context of its use and because she never released her real name to the public and users who resented Alison's intrusion on talk page archives and who claimed that RationalWiki's pseudo-privacy policy and the precedents established by site's treatment of the names of Fall down and various Conservapedians justified the retention of Alison's real name.
