AmesG (now known as Caius on RationalWiki-- see below) is the twenty eighth user who appeared in the user creation logs, and is probably one of the cabal members. He was sysoped on May 22, 2007 and bureaucratized on Nov. 10, 2007.[3]
Although apparently hated by all at CP, Ames continues to make futile peace overtures which are regularly rejected. It is not known why he does this. It may be a form of masochism.
AmesG is not often active, but when he is he appears to be a moral force on Rational Wiki. His opinion is very effective in dealing with squabbles between old users and comparisons can be drawn to the Elder Statesman Effect[4]

In April 2008, Ames shuffled through a series of new usernames -- including a joke name suggested by Bohdan false-signing as AKjeldsen [5][6]. After this chaos, Ames eventually settled on the name Caius, which lead to a short period of punning from all sides. Here follows a history of the changes:
AmesG ==> CivesAmericanusSum ==> CivisAmericanusSum (a latin "correction" suggested by Bohdan) ==> Caius [7]
