Fred (also known as Fred 1, Fred 2, Tit 1, Tit 2, etc., etc., etc.) is a wikipoltergeist whose only role withinin RationalWiki was to repeatedly add an unwanted external link to the "Fred Phelps" article, blank the Main Page, and sometimes blank user pages or articles. While other vandals come and go, Fred was, for a while, a constant, appearing virtually every day to make the same mundane edits before being blocked and reverted.
His love for White Lightning cider suggests that Fred is almost certainly British,[2] and therefore unlikely to be directly connected with Phelps' Westboro Baptist Church.
Once the external link was finally added to the Phelps article, Fred stated that he would stop editing frequently.[3]
After changing his ways and being taken off the naughty step by Javascap[4], he was, astonishingly, sysoped by Phantom Hoover on 4 March 2009, only two days later, admitting this act to be "one of the most surreal moments in my history here."[5]
