HeidelbergKid is an overenthusiastic editor with a massive ego and an obsession with article ratings and deletion.

He is mostly known for edit warring over the article on the biblical Eve. His initial edits went largely ignored, even after he added the bronze brainstar. But then he nominated the article for the coveted silver brainstar, still making what he thought were improvements. Unfortunately, more experienced RationalWikians were not so impressed with his "improvements",^[3] and a bunch of them descended on the article, tearing it apart and rewriting it into something much better.^[4]

Upset that his masterpiece has been completely rewritten, he went on to edit war for a bit, while asking people to discuss it on the talk page instead of edit warring.^[5][6] Realizing that this was futile and finding out about essay space, he moved the page there, so only he could edit it. This sparked arguments about the definition of essay and the purpose of essay space.^[7] Eventually, the article ended up in HeidelbergKid's userspace.^[8]

Feeling upset, the Kid threatened to create a fork of RationalWiki, while many hoped he would fork off for good. Although the fork actually exists and does have a copy of the Heidelberg Kid's article on Eve,^[9] the wiki has been largely abandoned as the Kid was able to get over the emotional setback and move on with his life realized that writing and maintaining a wiki on your own is hard. He is now trying to improve RationalWiki in the ways he can, which mostly consist of threatening to delete articles unless other editors improve them.^[10] If When he angers sufficient RationalWikians, he has the tendency to whine at the saloon bar.^[11]

He is responsible for a number of Funspace pages,^[12] many of which are of the quality that were deleted during the funspace cleanup project.

Hobbies include uploading copyrighted images.^[13] It should be noted that HK appears to believe there is nothing wrong with violating copyright, and that one shouldn't uphold it at all.^[14] Most notably, his assumption that Google Image Search is a free picture library has led to several repetitive arguments - several established users telling him to stop, and him just going "but I found it on the internet!"

He has been known to make meaningful contributions, though he also makes incomprehensible talk page posts.
