Iduan was a prominent Conservapedian who, for a time, was considered to be a serious contender for sysop--a position which is considerably more difficult to achieve on Conservapedia than it is on RationalWiki. Iduan had a reputation on Conservapedia as a reasonably competent, rational, and productive editor, but despite his prodigious edit count and his dedicated attempts to attain sysopship, ASchlafly refused to promote him. As a result, Iduan left Conservapedia, and following his departure, RationalWikians flocked to his account (which he set up some time earlier in order to respond to a number of WIGO entries) in order to commiserate with him.
In January of 2009, Iduan returned to Conservapedia, and this session lasted four months until he left again, citing school as a reason.[2] His break lasted for a full year, after which he returned once more with an edit summary of "a year of college having passed, i've decided to slowly begin editing again)".[3] The return caused minor excitement at RationalWiki.[4]
He returned to RW in February 2011 in order to explain his deceitful actions on CP,[5] which resulted in a rather passionate discussion, the resurfacing of a classic CP super secret discussion group post, and excellent (over) use of Nx's voting extension.[6]
