John Childermass is a fairly new editor to RationalWiki who had the misfortune to show up in a drama fest. His name is a reference to the character in Susanna Clarke's Johnathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. He has been accused of being a sock puppet by Scream!!,[2] and Eira exposed him as a sock of Tyrannis, due to the fact that upon John Childermass's appearance, Tyrannis went from editing compulsively on a daily basis to not editing at all, while Childermass began editing compulsively on a daily basis. After Eira outed him as a sock (leaving out whose sock he was) he then took a "wikibreak", and the compulsive editing of Tyrannis picked up again. After being exposed and named on MCwiki, John Childermass then took his toys and went home, and provided further circumstantial evidence and remarks elsewhere that the sock accusation was correct.
