Liquid Threads Fiasco

From RationalWikiWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

"Liquid Threads Fiasco" refers to a, currently, recurring HCM revolving Nx's attempt to convert talk pages to use the "LiquidThreads" MediaWiki extension, which puts support for a threaded structure into the MediaWiki software itself, rather than relying on users to put in the right number of colons and resolve edit conflicts.

Few people actually understand what this means and only know that the appearance of liquid threaded pages is different somehow, but it has caused more than a few users, among them Kels, Phantom Hoover and SusanG, to publicly bitch about liquid threads and others to bitch, by extension about Nx. Susan even going as far as to say she refuses to comment on any page using LQT [1] Such was the heat of the discussions, it surely influenced Nx's decision to LANCB.
