Punitive demotion

A punitive demotion (or "punitive promotion," as they are known at RationalWiki) is a removal of user rights carried out to punish a user. Examples include Human's removal of sysop and bureaucrat powers from Pink, and the extremely back-and-forth nature of ConservapediaUndergroundResistor's sysopship.
