Why would I be replacing Linus? -- Nx/talk 21:27, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- Well, you're rewriting the vandal brake, and Linus is as good as gone, but used to be the second tech guy, alongside Trent.
21:45, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- Linus is back, but he hasn't been very active. And uhh, I can take Linus' position, but replace it? -- Nx/talk 21:52, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- Why not? I, the God King of RationalWikiWiki, hereby confer the position unto you of Official Second Nerd.
22:04, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you God King, but could you at least fix the ungrammaticalness? -- Nx/talk 22:06, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Star Trek
And that is relevant to RW how? -- Nx / talk 21:50, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- Beats me. I was just making conversation. I'm kinda bored right now, other wise I wouldn't have gone through 100 odd N usernames.Tyrannis 21:52, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
[edit] GAAH
You're making it worse! -- Nx / talk 22:10, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- Now I'm confused. Tyrannis 22:13, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- I just read your entire talk page archive, and updated your page as such. Any suggestions for my next victim? Tyrannis 22:43, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Inactive???
He LANCB over a month ago. I think we should give this article the ol' "Inactive template" routine now. Conficker 15:40, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
- Probably a good idea. He might even come back again just to prove us wrong. SuspectedReplicant 15:47, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
[edit] WP stuff
Back when the email feature was broken on RW I told someone they could email me on WP and linked to my userpage there, even though I never linked to it on my userpage on RW. This link was used to add several bits of personal information to my article here. Even though it is beyond reasonable doubt that I am User:Nx at WP (I once even linked back to my RW page there), is it okay to use the information found there? -- Nx / talk 10:40, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- If it was from an email, it should be removed. Even Ty seemed to have gotten that. John Childermass 11:16, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- It wasn't from email, it was a comment on the wiki. -- Nx / talk 11:17, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- here -- Nx / talk 11:21, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- I feel that unless it was displayed on your user page, it shouldn't be here. John Childermass 11:24, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- Why are we using information from WP anyway? Rrose Selavy 17:01, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- You yourself linked to a policy discussion suggesting that "Wikipedia and other public wiki's are fair game." --Eira 17:05, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- I think if someone doesn't want links to their accounts at other places, we shouldn't include them. Refugee 16:55, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Pronunciation
Stupid question of the day: How is "Nx" supposed to be pronounced? I say it in my head as "nix" but it seems like it's supposed to be "N" "X"? Sam ® 21:58, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
- Apparently it comes from the Enterprise's designation, so it should be "N" "X". I do say "nix" in my head though. Liveware Problem 22:36, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
- It doesn't -- Nx / talk 08:00, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- His username is actually pretty clever as simple as it is. Definitely not some nerdy Star Trek retcon. Nutty Roux 15:04, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

- I always pronounced it 'En' 'Ex' TyrannisAn iron, yet caring fist 01:16, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- I think it's a way to separate the Star Trek fans out. Those who like the show will immediately jump to "ennex", while everyone else would say "nix". Though personally I go for "nix" but try to not pronounce the "i" at all. Granted, this is only possible in my own head. Armondikov 18:42, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- Fascinating. -- Nx / talk 19:19, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- In my head I always hear "nx" like "nks", without any vowels. At least nobody makes your name like Turkish name (not that a Turkish name generally is abd thing). --Ullhateme 19:49, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- I say it the same way as Ty does, "en-ex". Refugee 01:27, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

Is there really someone out there who 'pronounce' out loud the names of fellow RWikipedians? Alain 17:25, 28 September 2011 (UTC)- Mentally. TyrannisAn iron, yet caring fist 17:58, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
- Out loud. and doodle it in notepads. and sing little ditties incorporating user names. also dream about them. I'll let you know if I think of anything else. Refugee 15:02, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

- "they?" why do you care about un-named "they's"? Do you base your self-worth and self-esteem on how random people on the internet view you or what they say about you? I am proud to be called "odd". :-D I revel in it. I want an award with "odd" engraved upon it and a star at the top. I laugh in the face of anyone who seeks to put me down by calling me "odd", it means less than nothing to me, in fact I command you to call me odd. and I will continue to attract attention towards myself to deflect it off others as a favor to those who base their self esteem on others views of them and are overly worried about being called odd. You're welcome. Refugee 16:01, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

I don't care anymore. And I just drank a coke/coffee/milk drink I made myself(not as good as I thought it would be). Everyone here/RW is "odd", anyone who says they aren't is in denial ;) Oddball. TyrannisAn iron, yet caring fist 17:08, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
- blasphemy! not everyone here is worthy of the title of Odd. I claim it for myself. ME! Refugee! Do you hear me?! hmph. I'm sorry Ty, but your coke/coffee/milk drink is not strange enough to garner you the title of odd. You must earn it by more worthy deeds... good first attempt though. - Nx would never leave. He is a horrible person who defines his live through drama, dislike and disgust. RW is perfect for him because there are so many people who dislike him and, in turn, for him to dislike. Ace McWicked 21:17, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

- I can see how you would think that but I generally don't dislike people and I define my life through my friendships. But thanks for playing. Ace McWicked 23:13, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
- Having a lot of friends doesn't mean that one isn't lonely. The deepness of the friendship is more important. I have seen it in a few people that bragged about having a lot of friends, that they had a lot of friends, but none were really close. But you have to know that for yourself. --85.182.145.82 23:25, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
- OK, why are we talking about loneliness? Who said anything about anyone being lonely? Or having a lot of friends? Ace McWicked 23:33, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
