[edit] Response To The Changes In The Article About Me (If that's allowed here?...)

"Spica is an established user on RationalWiki, having joined barely ten days after RationalWiki 2.0's inception."

  • Really? I didn't know that, to be honest. I didn't even know there had been a RW 1.0 when I joined. I only ended up there after getting the Grand Order of the Boot from CP.

"Little intelligence has been gathered on him at this time,"

  • Good, that's the way I like it. Experience of working in prisons has benefits outside of the nick.

"besides he has stayed out of the many recent controversies on RW."

  • To be honest, I try my best to stay out of the controversial side of things, mainly because they tend to get personal (see the FYU2I).

"Spica plays an obscure role-playing game,"

  • Nope, it's not obscure at all. It was released in 1977 by Game Designers' Workshop (based in Illinois) and was the first SF-RPG that was "hard science" as opposed to "space opera". It was the direct competitor to D&D for those of us who were sick of bloody dragons and wizards at the time. I suppose it is obscure if you don't play RPGs, though...

"which he pushes too much onto others (specifically, in this article)."

  • You think? Hmmm. I don't think so, to be honest. In fact, I think you'll notice a distinct reduction in references to it over time. Boredom, perhaps? I dunno.

"He pretends he is a "hiver"."

  • And.....? It's no different to people who set up Wikis, or those who set up Wikis to analyse Wikis, etc etc. It's just another thing to do, really, isn't it? Of course it is.

"Lord only knows what that is supposed to mean to us."

  • Make of it what you will Hans, something or nothing.

"As part of this game,"

  • No no no. Kicking TK's arse wasn't part of a Traveller game at all. I just used some basic techniques from my professional life on him and couched it game terms. Nothing special at all, really, just a minor victory over a very obvious troll.

"Spica successfully took on and 100%, rubber stamped, defeated TK over a rather semantic point. TK insisted that Spica had "demanded" answers to something, and Spica insisted that he had never used the words 'demand' or 'demanded'. TK could not provide evidence that Spica had 'demanded' anything and Spica kicked his arse/ass 100%, rubber stamped."

  • He was not a happy bunny at all but hey, do I look like I care?

"The management of this site is very tired of the way he edits his own article."

  • Look at the edit history for the page. It's not like there are thousands and thousands of edits there, like there are on some pages on other Wikis.

While I'm thinking about it, and if you think it's worth including, I'll try to dig up the Spica vs TK affray on RW. If I find it, I'll post a link to it *here*, as I'm not supposed to edit the article about me. Spica 17:41, 1 April 2008 (CDT)
As I understand it, commenting on your RWW article's talk page is perfectly acceptable. humanbe in 19:57, 1 April 2008 (CDT)
