They usually are. Interestingly, there are two local bars here that claim to have invented it. Which one you believe depends wildly on how you spell it. If you spell it "Jucy Lucy," then you believe Matt's Bar invented it. If you spell it "Juicy Lucy," then you believe that the 5-8 CLub invented it. Then there's Tin Cup's in St. Paul which has the "Lucifer," a Juicy Lucy with habaneros and Pepper Jack cooked into the middle and convered in lots and lots of their recipe hot sauce. And they've also got a challenge for people to eat two of them and a pound of fries in under an hour. Never been brave enough to try it, though. That's waaaay too much food for me.
