Welcome aboard! Liveware Problem 04:24, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Thank you. This wiki needs some serious help. RA is active, while PalMD isn't for starters. Tyrannis 12:32, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Janitor

Yes, the wiki does need help. And so you can help, I've made you a janitor! Liveware Problem 07:27, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Ok, I'll try to prove myself worthy of this honor. Tyrannis 18:12, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
May I add you've been given block rights (aka as police rights) for being completely trusworthy. Conficker 15:41, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Well, I haven't seen that many vandals, but I checked the logs and there have been a few in the past. So, thanks, I guess, as I have this site open in a tab usually, and check it daily, I guess that'll work. Tyrannis 15:57, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Toast hasn't edited in almost 3 months

You do know SusanG is Toast, right? Conficker 13:36, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Yes. But she has been using her own account recently, rather than Toast. Thus she is active, while her sock isn't.Kinda like CUR and his socks, which did nothing, while he was active. Hmm Bad analogy. Tyrannis 13:44, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Like me and Moriarty and Antony? Phantom Hoover 15:50, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Yes. If if we count socks as their hands, everything becomes quite confusing and muddled. Also, if we added socks together, someone may surpass our "prime editors" in edit counts and activity. For example Nx+Nxbot > Pi, almost to Human level. SusanG+Toast = also over pi. And MC's sheer amount of socks would make him quite high indeed. And this would ruffle feathers. Also, in general, one cannot always tell if a person is a sock or not. If we classed them that way, I'd need to know everyones socks, which kinda defeats the purpose of sockpuppetry. So, unless everyone on RW reveals their socks, which won't happen, I'm counting socks as different "people" even obvious ones, like ConservativePunk. There are a lot of editors on RW. I'm good, but not that good. That is too many variables. I like RW, but I don't want an entire desk drawer dedicated to it.Tyrannis 16:11, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
But Nxbot's huge edit count is due to actual bot scripts, not OCD. It's not really me. So it shouldn't count IMO. -- Nx / talk 16:52, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
That's the problem. People are having so much fun with alt-accounts and bots, that no-one can tell who is who! For example, if you didn't know all-ready that Blue2 is an experimental autosign bot, it just looks like Blue is talking to herself. The fact that Blue was a bot for a while doesn't help. Tyrannis 17:40, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
1. Blue2 is an all-purpose bot that just happened to test my autosign script, I use it for all menial tasks.
2. Yeah, it's general practice to bot oneself when one is doing repeated, minor edits even if one isn't running a bot script. But you make a good point about Toast/SusanG, I don't think the edits should be added together. (this is my [Blue's] RWW account) Bohdan 20:43, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi ya. Yeah, I know that was you, I've been lurking here since, oh April. I find all the bots on RW frustrating, and I hadn't seen Blue2 do much until you began the auto-sign experiment(which we need). Until I looked through talk pages, it looked like you'd gone nuts and had started talking to yourself. Which, then again, I do sometimes IRL, some I'm not one to talk. Tyrannis 20:49, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
"I like RW, but I don't want an entire desk drawer dedicated to it." Yeah? Well if I have my way here on RWW, you will not only have an entire desk drawer dedicated to it, but you'll have an entire office dedicated to it. You'll eat and sleep RW until you are soooo entwined that it'll be impossible to escape. Punky McPunkersen 15:39, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Goony, I presume? I already spend 3 hours a day + on RW, sometimes more. And while I am currently unemployed(again), I do have stuff to do. But yeah, if you want to hire me at $65,000 a year with vacations, I'll gladly spend all my time on RW. But, you guys are, sadly, the community, real or otherwise, I fit in with most, and the only one that really makes we feel welcome. Tyrannis 18:04, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
That's Goonie to you! And I do hope you know that I was being completely not serious. Punky McPunkersen 00:41, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
Goonie, got it. Yes, I know you weren't being serious. I do understand sarcasm. And I thing a rate of one article of cat a day is good for me, redlinks first, maybe some stuff on Irrational Numbers, some WIGOs etc. How is life up North?Tyrannis 12:38, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
Minus the part where I may be ho ho homeless by Xmas, things up here are just fine. Punky McPunkersen 00:44, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
Oh no! Are you going to be alright? Did you lose your job? Get evicted? Will you be OK? Tyrannis 00:59, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
Calm yourself now. It isn't that dire. I just have 3 weeks to find a new place, as my lease is up at the current place, and I have yet to find a suitable new home, as I can no longer live here (because my current roomie just pisses me off that much). Worst comes to worst, I have a temporary place with one of my bandmates. Punky McPunkersen 01:47, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Congrats!

You are a bureaucrat now. Congratulations and all that junk. Punky McPunkersen 16:10, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

wheeeee! I'm in a conference right now, so I'll be working in a bit. Tyrannis 16:15, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Your reading list

I couldn't help but notice you've read Michael "Savage" Weiner's books. What, may I ask, possessed you to read that sociopath? I cannot stand him, especially after he made fun of autistic kids. Conficker 19:50, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

I was raised a good little fanatic. But after he did that, Baton Rouge dropped him form our radio list (even evil has standards). The first book was a constant screed about communazis. The other tried som humor, but mostly read like Micheal made people he didn't like furries, complete with pictures. I quietly disposed of one, but keep the other as insurance, see RW's article on passing for why. Tyrannis 20:09, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
Ok, so long as you are not a fan. My little cousin is autistic, and I hate it when people (even my favorite TV shows) make fun of autistic kids. Worse, though, is when ignorant assholes like Savage not only make fun of them, but say they are faking and insult them. To me that, that is unforgivable. Conficker 20:37, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
In the first book, which was vile, he thought that regular beatings could cure ADD. Tyrannis 20:40, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
Doesn't surprise me. He is a sick, psychotic wretch of a man. Most like because his real last name is "Weiner" and he's trying to show that he either isn't one, or that his is microscopic. Conficker 20:43, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
At one point he talks about Japanese porn, that he has for "research reasons" yeeeaaaah, really. Tyrannis 20:45, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
I'm sure..... as lonely as he is.... Conficker 20:48, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Privacy policy

Please see RationalWikiWiki:Privacy policy, particularly this bit:

Information about a RationalWiki user obtained at other sites is somewhat of a grey area, and whether it should be used tends to depend on how you got there from RationalWiki. If the user has added a link to their own website or blog on their user page, then of course they are expecting people to read it and it is reasonable to quote anything from it here. Similarly, if they have mentioned that they contribute at other wikis or forums, then comments made at these may be considered fair game. However, searching for RationalWikians at social networking sites, for example, is invasive and anything found out that way is unacceptable.

Link was from her user talk page. [1] on the last line. thank you though. Tyrannis 18:50, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Ah, it's ok then I guess. From your edit summaries it seemed like you googled "Blue van Meer" and found that profile. -- Nx / talk 19:01, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
No, I just read entire talk page histories. And when I'm bored, user page histories. Tyrannis 19:02, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
You must be really bored. Want to finish this? -- Nx / talk 19:05, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
From what I understand, the Blue that she posted about is still the fictional Blue, though I could be wrong. Liveware Problem 22:02, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
